Center stone: Large oval cabochon of apple-green chrysoprase. The stone has a soft, slightly translucent “cat’s-eye” effect when it catches the light — a desirable trait.
• Setting: Elaborate openwork filigree with floral and scroll motifs, typical of the 1940–1955 “Hollywood Regency” revival of Victorian jewelry.
The back has a rolled C-clasp with safety chain — standard for 1940s–early 1950s pieces (before modern pin stems with rotating clasps became universal).
• Maker: Unsigned, but the style and construction scream Providence, Rhode Island manufacturers such as Coro, Trifari, or a smaller shop like Amco or Uncas. This exact filigree pattern shows up in 1948–1952 catalogs under various brand names.
